You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
I know that there are quite a few photographers in our group. Once the weather warms up, it might be a good idea to either do a climbers' photosession in the gym, or on an outdoor trip. This event would be for all those who are interested in being shot doing awesome moves on the wall, and the photographers wishing to shoot them (in a good way). Let me know what you guys think, and include with your comments if you'd be interested in doing the climbing or photography. We'll set up an event based on the interest shown by ya'll.
Cheers

im going caving this weekend and wanted to know if anyone wanted to try out splunking. i will be driving from dfw to colorado bend state park (which is near austin), camp friday night, saturday the other cavers and i will be hiking the park off trail to look for new and unexplored caves, then we sit around the campfire and share stories at night, then go caving a little bit on sunday and then leave
I'm looking to go down to Austin April 10/11 mainly for the BANFF Mtn. Film Festival World Tour and Radical Reels showings down there. I want to camp and would love to do something outdoors (I can't say climbing unless someone with gear and experience comes, but would easily be in for other activities). It's $35 for the two nights of movies...radical reels sat. and the main event sunday. Anyone in?

I generated some interest with my last caving trip suggestion, sadly no one was able to go. There is a new cave trip coming up for the first weekend in March (5-7). the trip will be one of two options: First is to go to Jester cave in Oklahoma, we will leave Friday after work and camp overnight then cave Saturday and return home the same night. Jasper cave is a 5 hr drive going north west past Wichita Falls. Jester cave is the longest gypsum cave in the US at 6.25 miles long and is definitely worth the drive, this is the preferred trip if access to the cave is allowed. Option 2 is we go to Austin on Saturday morning and visit some of cave down there, camp overnight and then return on Sunday. You would need a climbing helmet, head light to mount on your helmet, two more flashlights and knee and elbow pads are not required but highly recommended also food water, tent and sleeping unless you want to rent a hotel out there.
